It's time to end the stigma of recruiting...

Tale as old as time, Song as old as rhyme, Beauty and the Beast… of recruiting.

Recruiting seems to have this negative stigma around it, but a lot of people today don’t even know why. We want to shed some light on the good things about recruiting, and the benefits it could bring to you.

Faster Hiring. A recruitment agency can find qualified candidates faster than you can for a few different reasons. There is a chance they have an active “roster” of qualified candidates who are already looking for jobs. The resources agencies have also probably outclassed the resources you have. The recruiters have years of experience doing this, network connections that you simply don’t.  And at the end of the day, it is their job to find you candidates to help fill your positions, so you know they will only send over and sort out the qualified candidates so you don’t have to. Let the agency do their jobs, so you can focus on yours.

Adaptability. As your company grows, you will probably need to fill the role of several different positions. It’s not realistic to have someone in house to know how to fill a position they have never filled before. Not to mention how industries change over time. Especially as of recent, the whole workforce is ever changing. It’s no secret these last few years have impacted the way everyone views work. With all of the change going on, it is hard for someone to keep up with the change, unless it is their job to do so. Recruiters go through very thorough training, in many different forms, classes, online learnings, and most importantly, experience, in order to keep up with the demand and changing industries. If you are going to have something be done, why not have it be someone who is the best at what they do?

First hand experience and knowledge. Recruiters have conversations. A lot of conversations. Conversations with both clients and candidates. Now the recruiters, the really good and professional ones who take notes, they learn a lot about the industry that other people not in the same field would ever have access to. Knowing the current industry and marketing trends allow them to provide their clients with invaluable information. This is what makes the good ones stand out. When you use this method of finding candidates for your work, you are now partners, both wanting the other to succeed. This new partnership allows you to have access to knowledge. Knowledge you couldn’t easily find somewhere else. Knowledge on pay rates for specific positions, development expectations, the timeframe it should take for specific projects and training, what realistic expectations are for the candidate, and much much much more. You get access to knowledge and data you probably didn’t know about, and wouldn’t find otherwise.

You don’t pay, unless someone is hired. Most of the work that is done, is done before any of the money comes into the picture. If no candidates are hired, no fees will be charged for the efforts. If the agency is unsuccessful then you do not have to pay. This ensures that the work and focus of everyone involved is being done to the best of their abilities, find the right candidate for your job, so they can get paid!

When you really get into the nitty gritty and all the benefits, hiring a staffing agency or recruiting firm is kind of a no brainer. It’s efficient, cost effective, and allows paid time to be spent focusing on other duties. Here at Workline we take endless pride in our ability to deliver quality candidates that last. We won't hire just anyone because we know your company deserves better than that.
